Shaquida A. Vergo
BIO
Shaquida Vergo is a California native and moved to Las Vegas to obtain her BA in Dance Production Management in 2012. She graduated from UNLV, Spring 2014, and is now a part-time instructor in the Dance Department. She also guest teaches at various schools across the valley. She is a Teaching Artists for The Smith Center Las Vegas, former Paraprofessional at Thurman White Academy, and is the head of the Dance Department at Las Vegas High School. She has been training in dance since age eleven and is also a lighting, sound, video, and costume designer, and a freelance photographer.

Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Production Management is a concentration in Production and Management degree empowers the dance major with a functional and practical understanding of the production “behind-the-scenes” workings of the dance theatre event. These students can go on to be dance company managers, lighting designers, costumers, scenic designers, dance studio owners, and company managers.
