ABOUT US

Las Vegas High School's Dance program is devoted to increasing interest in dance across our campus and bringing a larger sense of community and energy to our campus. We teach ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, majorette, and cultural styles throughout the year. Each semester culminates in a concert to display the amazing work students put in and also show their progress from the beginning of year to the end.

 

The LVHS Dance team seeks to represent the school, the department, and each other through dance. We do community service, in and out of school performances, and hope to compete throughout the district and state. Moving forward we want to offer scholarships, internships, mentorship with various partners in the community to active dance students.
 

Students who achieve and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, are eligible for LVHS Dance Honors. These students must stay in the dance department until graduation which they will receive honors cords and a pin to acknowledge their accomplishments with dance. They also qualify for scholarships and other opportunities.
